Stick a wad of cotton (or clean paper towel, cloth, anything that is clean) up your nose, stay still, hold your head up and apply pressure on/over the bleeding part for 1~2min. That should stop the bleeding, if it doesn?t then repeat the steps and put pressure on it for five minutes...If it doesn?t stop then you may need to see a doctor.
Nosebleed is very common in dry climate, sudden change of temperature, or altitude. You can?t really prevent it, but it might help if you drink more water when the climate is dry & cold.
PS. You might want to breath through you mouth during the pressure applicating duration
