I love fishing for these on Michigan's west coast from lake Michigan piers. In June and July you can catch a 5-25# drum every few casts using spoons. I always throw them back but they are fun to fight and its a great way to get kids interested in fishing.

And it's not even cheap. No flavor, texture sucks and generally close in price to farm-raised salmon and wild caught cod, haddock or halibut. If it was priced by desirability tilapia would be 1/10th the price of any of those. You gotta give the seafood industry credit, they've managed to convince gullible diners that tilapia is worth top dollar when in reality it belongs in cat food and nowhere else.
