ordered and prepaid this lens only 2 weeks ago at my local dealer, should I use it for my Alaska cruise in May then ebay it? Do you think the market will be flooded with these lenses come May? they did charge me over the MSRP ($699)price, like $712 + tax, what to do? 🙂
 
Use it. If you like it, then keep it. If you don't like it, then sell it.

Or give the 17-55 a try, muwahahaha :evil:
 
just picked this lens up this morning, the lens is made in japan, I believe only the earlier copies are made in japan, most of them are made in Thailand now, which makes my lens even rarer. 😉
 
i also have this lens...actually two copies! Going to keep one, one is for sale in FS/FT. I would put it on ebay but will be out of the country until late april, also unsure if market will be flooded by then, so am just considering returning it to the store.
