My new Video card is blue! Argh! Advise please

I just purchased a Asus p480 TVD 4800ti card and when I started the system up I noticed all my white text was now a very eye hurting shade of blue. I am running this on a MSI KT4 Ultra MB with a AMD XP 1.8 GHZ and 768k memory. My old card (Now back in the system) works just fine. My motherboard does support 8X AGP. I feel I am dealing with a defective card and just need someone to confirm it. I have tried to get the blue out with my monitor controls and through the Windows control panel but it is always there.

Any ideas?

Thank you

Gary Montoya

Actually the whole screen has a blue tint to it. Windows, gaming all has it. Anything that should be white has the blue tint even the boot up screen.

More likely, you damaged your monitor's VGA plug whilst plugging it onto the new card. Check for bent or broken-off pins.

also check to see if the vga cable is damaged & have you tried chaning your colour temps on your monitor this can change the appearance of the whites from a cold blue to a warm yellow white.

You guys should read his post he addressed both your suggestions

1. He said he swapped back in his old card and everything looks fine, so obviously it is not his cable.

2. He already tried adjusting all monitor settings
