I don't think I could bear living in the desert. Although, I did like Joshua Tree National Park in California.

All kidding aside, as beautifull as the bike is you cannot control the crazy drivers out there. Hope you wear your helmet and have GREAT health insurance.

I did a LOT of looking at statistics when I got my M endorsement, and as long as you aren't a total noob, don't ride drunk or high, wear your helmet and protective equipment, and practice defensive tactics, your risks drop dramatically.

My bike...looks like crap, but it's a starter; I'll be getting a real bike in a few months.

It really sucks to ride without a windshield above 40MPH or so. That's why I got mine...unfortunately for me, it makes my helmet a lot noisier, so I leave it off for in-city trips.
