My New Toy (YAGT)

Taking it out for some playtime tomorrow 🙂 (yes, I realize a gun isn't really "a toy").

i've got an old Garand...its so bad ass. That clinking from the clip ejecting is an instant ejaculation for me. Mine has a really low serial....480xxx, someone offered me 1200 for it...I wouldn't sell it for a dime less than 1.000.000

I do need to get some more milsurp ammo though

Oustanding rifle, I have a few CMP rifles myself. Two rack grades that are beat to crap, and one collector grade.

I picked this up on Monday myself, a S&W 617 K-Frame .22 LR 10 shot revolver, with a 6" barrel -

Nice :awe: I bought a Model 63 in .22lr a couple of months ago, it's tons of fun to shoot.

Even with the shortish barrel I can hold 3" 10 round groups at 25 yards off hand, it's got an awesome single action trigger.

hopefully those are the cartridges made specifically for the M1 made by Hornady? Otherwise you could damage your operating rod.

I only use m2 ball from CMP in mine because buying the new commercial stuff is expensive. You could always reload to the proper specs too.

By the way, what are some fun things to shoot after I'm done zeroing/shooting targets? I'm thinking cheap beer (such as natty ice which doesn't deserve to be drunk anyway😛) will make a cool explosion, but what else?

An M1 is on my must own bucket list of guns. I've shot a few of them... pretty heavy gun compared to rifles I typically shoot, but so much fun.

yeah, they are Hornady but Hornady makes 30.06 specifically marked for M1 Garands.
