Alright guys. I've had my 2405fpw for a while now, and just picked this sony 24" crt up yesterday.

I bought my 2405fpw for around $550 about 3 months ago and just got this 24" Sony crt for $200. Yes, I got in on some very good deals.

This thing is beautiful. I run it at 1920x1200 and I'm sorry to say this, but it looks better than my 2405.

Here are some pictures of the monitor.

Anyway, just wanted to share. I'm probably going to get rid of one of them so which one would you keep?

I went from the fw900 to the 2405 and have never looked back. I like the LCD screen better.

The CRT without question. I bought a 2405 and sold because LCD just is good enough for me yet. Poor viewing angles, overly bright (at zero brightness) smears in movement, input lag.

Why wouldn't you prefer the CRT. It does everything we only hope an LCD could match.

I am currently looking for a another CRT now that my 2405 is gone. Hard to find a good one these days locally (not interested in getting a refurb via mail order).

You have both monitors side by side and are asking us wich one to keep? heh .. I think you know which one you want already, its your choice ;)

But my vote would be FW900 hands down, I've had mine for 6 months and its by far the best monitor ive owned, Besides the 2405FPW has been proven (on various forums) to have input lag. (Not motion blur, but actual input lag). Ive never owned a 2405FPW but the FW900 absolutely blew away my 2001FP LCD (Which I dont own anymore).

I think the only LCD I would be satisfied with would be the NEC 20WMGX2 ($700-$800). Other than that, I'll probably have to order a refurbished AG Diamondtron CRT online/eBay, which as you say, carries some big risks. It's a difficult call.
