I was a fairly serious guitar player into my early 20s but haven't played much in a long time. I have been getting back into it and realizing that my existing guitars, a Kramer Baretta and a cheap Korean Charvel, are no longer to my taste. With that in mind, I've been prowling the Les Paul forums with an eye toward an LP for about a month before finding a guitar that seems to meet my needs. I wanted a secondhand Gibson USA instrument rather than a Custom Shop reissue, because I am NOT playing at a level to justify a $3-4K guitar, at least not yet.
Without further ado, here it is . . . This is a Gibson Les Paul Traditional in honeyburst with a few mods, including CTS pots, Orange Drop capacitors, Gibson top hat knobs, Grover locking tuners and Schaller strap locks. I have all the original parts in case I want to switch anything back (I have always liked the aesthetics of the traditional Kluson-style tuners, for example).
