They are called Hanauta No Tami and can be pretty expensive. They require batteries and move thier heads and arms side to side. They sing three songs each (one even does "Let it be") and they have a wire running from each other. When you plug them together they will sing a song but each move differenty and make different noises.

The guy beside them is Hidamari No Tami and he is solar powered and moves his head front to back like he is nodding off to sleep. We got 2 of them with one being a gift going to Canada. They had to come from Hong Kong.
 
Just walked in the door from work, forgot I had this thing sitting on the coffee table.... 🙂

I think I'll bring it to work for a while....
