This is basically a total redo of my current computer. Already have case, power supply and generic stuff.

NEC 8X Black DVD+RW/-RW Drive, Model ND-2500A, OEM Bulk
Western Digital Special Edition 120GB 7200RPM IDE Hard Drive
OCZ Performance Series Dual Channel Kit 184 Pin 1GB(512MBx2) DDR PC-3500
MSI nForce3 250 Chipset Motherboard for AMD Athlon 64 Socket 754 CPU, Model "K8N Neo Platinum" (MS-7030) -RETAIL
AMD Athlon 64 3200+, 1MB L2 Cache, The Only 64-bit Windows Compatible Processor - Retail
ATI RADEON 9800 PRO Video Card, 256MB DDR, 256-bit, DVI/TV-Out, 8X AGP -RETAIL

I also bought some rounded cables and a ide controller for my extra drive since i already have 2 in the system now. Any thoughts any questions. I will be ordering this in 2 weeks hopefully something might go down in price.

dump the MSI board for the chaintech nforce 3.

dump the 3200 for the 3000

dump the 256 9800pro for a 128 meg.

then enjoy hundreds in savings at the expense of <5 FPS.

Agreed.
You may also want to buy less expensive PC3200 RAM.

well the ram is only costing me 220 which i think is a steal for pc3500 i will think about lowering the cpu to 3000 but the graphics i want to keep the same so i can mod it into a 9800xt

And if you really want the 3200+ go with the 3200+ Newcastle. It has 512kb cache but it is 200Mhz faster then the 3200+ with 1MB of cache. The 200Mhz will affect your performance much more than the cache because the Athlon64 architecture isn't affect by pipeline stalls like the P4.

I don't think you can get it online and I think today is the last day on sale but their will probably be another at a diff. store soon. Look in the hot deals section every day.
