Just want to know what everyone thinks of my setup and if everything is compatible . :)

AMD Thunderbird 1ghz
MSI K7T Pro2-A
Taisol CEK733092 HS/F ( will this be sufficient?)
IBM (RETAIL) 30gig 75GXP
Elsa Gladiac Gf2 GTS 32mb
SB PCI128(already have) ( will an upgrade to the sb live value be worth it?)
Antec SX830
256mb SDRAM Crucial CL3
Delta 50x CD-ROM ( just wanted a cheap cd-rom, hardly use it :) )
Generic floppy drive
SMC 10/100 NIC
4x burner ( will upgrade to 12x plextor in a couple of months)

that is one hella ugly assed case! get an InWin Q500N. It's not nearly as ugly and has 2x the drive bays hehhehee :)
(don't mind me...there seems to be a great divide with the SX830 on one side and the Q500N on the other, I happen to be on the Q500 side so I take every opportunity to bash the SX830 but it's still really a good case, though it really is hella ugly!)

looks good..the SBLive! upgrade would be worth it if you have a 4 speaker setup, but if you are only using 2 speakers and don't plan to change that don't bother changing your soundcard.

That system looks pretty good.

I suggest the Atop AT-900. Completely screwless, roomy, good lookin' (it turns my HP on), and plenty of room for expansion. PCCASE.COM sells it, I think you can find the manufacturers website from there.

I might go with the Inwin as the SX830 is out of stock at Onvia, does it come with a removable motherboard tray, also any fans that come with it? I have heard the SX830 is easy to work around in, is this also true with your case? :) Thx!

your system's fine. almost exactly like mine [i just built it 3 days ago] and it runs great.

also about the comments on the antec sx830...i totally disagree...i agree the design depends on the person...i personally think it's beautiful. airflow is amazing. i have 2 fans in the front coming in the system and 2 fans blowing out. i also have the 2x turbo cool from pc power and cooling but if you don't wanna spend the 50 bucks on that, 4 fans are great. i don't know when onvia's gonna restock these cases but if i were you i'd look around...i know buy.com has it but shipping is what's killing everyone.

the taisol cek733 is sufficient...cools my 1.1ghz to 37c. you're gonna love the motherboard, hard drive...i wish i waited to get the elsa when the price dropped from computers4sure.com but oh well.

i think you should definitely upgrade to the sblive value. i have the platinum and love it but spend 40 bucks on the value [oem]. if you play games, go get the x-gamer cause it comes with games such as: unreal tournament, theif 2, mdk2, deus ex.

everything else looks great. how much did you spend on your system anyway?

Well the Crucial CLS3 will likely do CLS2 but if you up your FSB it may not.
