My new significant other...

Text

I just bought it this morning. It's 440 stainless, too. My neighbor gave me $20 for 20 minutes worth of work on her PC and I decided to go strolling through my local knife store for an extinguisher for the fire that was then burning a hole in my pocket. Voila. 😀

I like a little function with my knife, but whatever floats your boat I guess. That thing has to weigh a ton.

If I wanted to do that, I could have done that with any of the several dozen knives in my collection already. Or maybe one of the three swords I have. Or maybe some of my other weapons like nunchucks, escrimas, police baton, blah blah blah blah blah.

😉

Which knife store did you go to?

Nice geek measuring stick. heh

Haha - would you have preferred I use one of the 13 HDD's sitting on my desk next to me? 😛

Actually, it's surprisingly light. I don't have a scale and the box is not marked.

When did they start Ricing out Knives?!?

Uh... ever since knives were first invented. 😕 I've seen some very very very elaborate knives/swords that are hundreds of years old -and that's not nearly as old as the history of knives.

Word. What happened to just being able to buy a pointy object suitable for shanking? Everything's got to be all stainless steel with a funky tribal design on it. 😛

That being said, the new local knife laws are fvcked. Anything that "can be opened with one hand" is now illegal. :|

That's called a Phoenix. They're not too expensive. I can get one for $50 if I drive about 30 miles east. They're wicked. They work like a switch blade with a button that flicks two smaller blades out each side and retracts them with the same sliding button.

Hmm... Guess all my knives are illegal now.

What the crap? I hate having to use both hands to open a knife! As my knife got old, the hinge has loosened up to the point that I can open it just by flicking my wrist. It's great.

Although, it seems this particular knife would be a bit hard to operate with one hand. It looks like a Klingon weapon.
