Your comments were sarcastic jabs....space heater!!!....play 2001 games like somehow it was insufficient to play todays games or even a bit into the future....

Not as much punkbitch as the rest but definitely took a crap in this thread!!!

ummm . . . i used INTEL my WHOLE LIFE, but i just built a new gaming rig and used AMD

i was going to use Prescott's, but, I didn't want a chip that when idle, was hotter than Death Valley in the summer

do you really think he is going to come back here for advice? if you consider his move stupid (stupid is not the word for which you imply), where does that leave you? granted, if he had done further research he may of made a different choice. but to bash him like that leaves nobody a winner.

fintheman, looks like a good system. hope you enjoy it!!!

it definitely has some strong points to it, specially the 6800 for gaming.

fintheman,
If you're going to OC that much, ditch the "Value" memory and get some higher quality.
Some Pqi Turbo will serve you well.
Also, go with 1GB (512x2), for dual channel on your 875 based MB.

The Zalman cooling will be fine. If your 3.2 is a Prescott, expect to see some higher temps. Northwood core P4's run cooler.

Make sure you buy a good quality PS. 😉

Ahhh, thanks for some of the guys coming back. I think I'm gonna throw that memory back up on e-bay and get some decent ram. I just got medically discharged from the Air Force, and I'm going back home in about 3 weeks, so I'll have more time to play around. Granted, if it is on the loud side, that sucks, but hopefully, I'll be able to adjust the sound to what I like. I know the fans I got throughout my system are pretty nice, and I may end up getting a xp-120 if needed.
