Nice, hopefully one of these days I'll have enough dough to splurge on an Intel system.

That's one of the reasons i'm with AMD right now, good for people who want a niceprocessor, on a tight budget. :) (like me)

Last step to upgrade is NV40 on its release :)

2.6C @ 3466mhz

1066 FSB

1:1 memory ratio, 2.5-3-3-8 timings.

You already know the NV40 will be better than the R420?

Swiftech MCX4000 with a vantec tornado for cpu cooling, Swiftech cooling on northbridge as well, forget the model number.

1.59v actual on vcore (1.60v setting)

Its pushing the limits of my current Antec 400w at this OC. So i would think its safe to say that the turbolink could be holding you back.

I had to adjust the pots to get the rails stable at load on the 400w.

Wellonce i get some dough and decide to go along with the purchase I'll let you know if it made a difference. Thanks for the suggestion. What made you get the 2.6C instead of the 2.8C considering they almost cost the same and the 2.8 has 200mhz more headroom? Also what mobo u got?

Asus P4C800-E is the mobo

I chose the 2.6C for a more reasonable OC as the current steppings of P4s generally top out between 3.4 and 3.7ghz on air cooling, and i wanted to run the memory at its fully rated PC4200 speed on a 1:1 ratio. A 2.8C may have made achieving an OC of 3725mhz on the same FSB a stretch in both PSU and the CPU core itself. (although an M0 step 2.8 can do this speed). I was also unaware that the M0 chips were only available in 2.4C and 2.8C models before ordering, i was hoping for an M0 2.6 :)
