You're going to want to take real good care of that paint.

there are a a couple nicks on the rear bumper that i didn't even notice but my mom saw em, and this other area that is like the size of a dime on the trunk that has some touchup paint on it. also noticed some minor issues right where the trunk meets the bumper.

also noticed some paint that chipped off on the rear view mirror like from stuff hitting it.

but it is a 4 year old car so it is going to have things like that.

That is one slick looking ride man. Congrats on getting what you wanted! That's what really matters. Used vehicles will always have imperfections. I've found that people are very quick to point it out as if you've been screwed in the deal somehow. They say that until they purchase a used vehicle lol.

20k miles is quite low and I'm sure you got a killer deal man. Get those windows tinted and protect that kick ass interior. CONGRATS!

i just hope i can get the tint to match the rear tint that is already on there 100%. im guessing the car was totally tinted but they pulled it off the front side windows to pass inspection. but the tint on the rear and rear sides is DARK. definitely darker than the legal 35% in maryland. but i am going to only tint it if i can get the exact color match.

does anyone know if you can just rip old tint off? i could have sworn that i heard you can't take it off the windows that have the defroster thing in the window because you could peel it off. i could be totally wrong though. im going to research it more for this car specifically.

because if the tint is way too below the legal limit, im going to look into taking it all off then getting it at the legal limit. im pretty sure that this tint is well below the legal limit though, it just looks extremely dark.

In most states they don't care about the back and rear side windows, only the driver/passenger windows and windshield.

Edit: ok I see what you were asking.. You want to remove all tint, then retint at legal limit?

I've heard that they can slice between the wires and soak the tint in some solution to get it removed.

Professional tint shops should be able to do that for you with no problems. Just make sure you take it to a reputable shop.

I would take it to a pro shop to get the tint removed. You can damage the defrosting equipment by doing it improperly. You don't want that on your hands. Let the pro's do it and if they mess up they pay for it. Not you.

Any decent shop should be able to match your tint. I paid $140 to get my back windows done. There are plenty of $99 shops out there but you get what you pay for. I'd rather pay a higher premium and ensure it's done right with a warranty.

When I got mine done I read a ton of different reviews on them. I quizzed them a bit as well when I called. YMMV.
