Z plan is the same as A plan but just means retired. My grandfather retired from a Ford assembly plant, therefore evry person in immediate family, down to grandchildren can have a "Z" plan discount.

Sweet - best way to go for a car that's in high demand. Some not even fully loaded ones are going for over $30k here - USED. My salesman even asked if I wanted to sell mine - haha! Got mine on the X-Plan thanks to a friend at work.

I got my fully loaded GT for $1000 less than the MSRP on a base model GT

Nice -what color did you get? I too got the fully loaded GT with the 5-speed manual. I'm debating whether or not to get the Shelby Racing stripes and side louvers for the windows like a '67 Shelby Fastback GT 500

I'm looking to do some engine mods too down the line. I've been drooling over the Steeda and Ford Racing catalogs lately 😀

I got Mineral Grey with red leather upgrade, IUP, upgraded wheels, well, everything except the Shaker 1000. If you go for the stripes, please don't get the girly ones that Ford offers....get the real fat ones. They look nice.

I am looking to get Steeda pulleys, not sure on the make of CAI yet, or just wait for the CDC shaker intake, and an SCT Excalibrator for tuning. Oh yeah, remove the hydro carbon trap if you haven't already. (or whatever its called)

Can stuff from the Ford Racing catalog be installed and covered under warranty and/or be rolled into your car loan?

I don't see why not. And I think your warranty is fine. Not sure why you'd want to pay all that interest on upgrade parts though...save your pennies.

Agreed on the Shelby  Yeah, the factory stripe option is plain fugly 😀. My salesman has hooked me up with a guy that does custom jobs for the dealership. I'm stopping by the dealer ship today to get stripe measurements from a striped Windveil Blue one they have on the used lot. I'm pretty sure it's 2-10" wide stripes with a 2" gap. BTW, you have PM

What interest? If you get a ridiculously good rate on the car, there's no reason to tie up more of your money than you have to. Not everyone just keeps lots of cash sitting in a checking account earning minimal interest 🙂

I highly doubt Ford will be offering good finance rates on the new Mustang as of yet......and banks usually have a fixed rate for car loans.....

Yup, my bank's is 3.59% 🙂

Even in lean years, the stock market eats 3.59% for breakfast 🙂

my bro in law has as 68 fastback Almost fully restored it has a lexus silver pearl mica paintjob. thing is sweet and i think im gonna take pics of it when he gets back in town.

I love cruising the strip in it. ill post pics in ATOT when i get the chance

btw: when and if they came out with an 05 svt cobra i would start to worry. then again supercharger + mustang= ~12.5 ¼miles and 0-60 in roughly 4.5 secs

not bad

From what I understand...the SVT team won't be making a Cobra until 07......if they even call it a Cobra.

my brother in law worked at ford for 3 months and got the employee discount when he got his GT. 24K+ttt. i took that thing to 100MPH in 3rd gear and it still had more. fun car to drive.
