I've got about $50 to burn from my eBay Anything Points so I think I'm gonna get back to my roots and do another 1/24 scale model kit :D The last one I completely finished was a Fujimi '73 Porsche 911 Carrera RS. Now I'm gonna tackle an Accurate Miniature Corvettes Grand Sport:

Here's one that's been built and tricked out

Once I get it, I'll be sure to post some pics to keep you guys updated on my progress :p

Tamiya cars are nice and their body detail is pretty damned good, but their kits are almost always on the "low on detail" side when it comes to everything else. Most of their car kits are only "curbside" which means no engine detail.

When it comes to all-around detail throughout, I've found that it's pretty damned hard to top Fujimi and Italeri.

Hehe, I didn't even notice ;)

Yeah, the S15 is ok...I just with that Fujimi made a highly detailed 3rd gen RX7 :(

I'll see if I can dig 'em up. I've posted them before on here.

I never been able to finish a model kit car or plane, everytime i start one i put it away to finish it on another day or when i have time. Everytime someone touches my stuff at home and pieces go missing or break when they moved it.

Droooooooooooooooool

Pics of a completed model

Hmmmm, I could put my book "Porsche: Excellence Was Expected" to good use. The detail offered up in that book is what allowed me to accurately detail my '73 RS and win first prize in my category at the local model expo :p I also used the book to detail a Fujimi 356C 1600 that I never ended up finishing :(
