Just got this in from Dave today.

Running it on an MSI NEO2-F with 2GB of Kingston value RAM.

Booted straight in at 3GHz on 1.42v (on CPU-z).

Priming now, i'll let you know how it turns out and will post screenshots when it's stable.

No, Dave from Flickerdown.

At the moment it's been priming for 2 hours at 2.9GHz on 1.55V, needed 1.65V at 3GHz to prime for more than 15 mins so that's a no go in my book.

What cooler are you using and what are your temps for 1.55V?

Oops, missed that vital part out.

It's cooled by an XP-90 with Panaflo-M, 30C Idle / 55C Load @ 2.9GHz, 1.55V.

very nice chip, pretty darn close to mine. i hope that you can inch it up to 3.0 within reasonable volts.

Yeh, looks solid, not sure if I can get 3GHz on reasonable volts though.

Primed for 6 hours with no errors, I stopped it to sort out the memory settings.

With the NEO2 1.8 offical BIOS the memory wouldn't run at above a 100MHz divider, so the memory was at 150MHZ, and due to BIOS issues wouldn't support a 1T command rate for E4 chips.

Updated the BIOS to 1.9 official and now running with the 133 divider at 1T, 193MHz, 2.5-3-3-8, 2.8V and priming now ... ;), had issues using the 166 divider, I think it's too much for my value RAM.

I played with other third party BIOSs but have found no reason not to use the official ones so far.

Download A64 Tweaker to run a different divider, my mobo doesn't have the 183 option so I use A64 Tweaker.

Nice job. I have mine at 2.9 stable @ 1.55V. I'm not sure if it's my board (MSI NEO2-f) but I can't go higher and stay stable.

I've been busy and needed to use my computer for work over the last few days so haven't had much time to play around with the overclock, I imagine I could drop the voltage and keep it stable and am going to play with it over the weekend.

Like I said in my original post I was able to boot into windows at 1.42V but couldn't get it over 20mins prime stable even at 1.6V. After the weekend i'll post some more details when I have the chip at speed and volts i'm going to keep it at.

really poorly.

CACJE from what i've seen are coldbugged around 0 to 10C's. :(

but you could be lucky and have one that works so.. i'd still give it a try...
