That is so cool! Except the price tag, $20,500.

Hmm.. The monitor, or a new Accord

decisions... decisions.

I'd rather have one of these and an ATI FireGL X1 to drive it. :p

Hey, well, it's only US$7500, and the FireGL X1 is about $800, so it's not really as far out as your setup. ;)

The expression on his face gives off the impression he's about to goto an xxx site. Second, why is he still wearing glass with a monitor that big? He's probably as blind as a slug that got salt poured on it.

jliechty,

That's one damn nice monitor @ ultra-high 3840x2400 9.2 mega pixel resolution at 204 pixels per inch, you better believe I want one to! However I will have to wait till the price comes down to more like $2000 before I could afford one

That's an interesting monitor and a toy for the rich, I guess. I still prefer 21" or higher AG monitors like mine.:)

They do... they have the 240T and the 241MP. I'm guessing the 241MP's pretty much the same as the 240T (resolution-wise, not features-wise), and they support up to 1920x1200 on DVI and Analog.

Here it is:
241MP

The 241MP was the one I had planed to get untill I saw the ViewSonic VP2290b just have to cut it's price in half and it's mine.

Bear in mind that it's designed for the professional, and you're probably going to need a professional graphics card to power it. Thus, go with your original idea (Samsung 241MP) instead if you're a gamer.

for the V2290b and the IBM T221, you need a vid card that has Dual-DVI or something, in order to display at QUXGA-W (3840x2400)... as far as I know, some of the MAtrox cards are the only ones that support this (not the Parhelia, but don't quote me on that). Just saw your link on the Radeons... I'm amazed that that would work. Has anyone actually tried that?

I've got a Samsung 240T, and I love it for gaming and watching movies. You don't really notice any ghosting at all (I'm using the DVI input... haven't tried Analog). I'm guessing that the 241MP would probably be at least equivalent to this. And it's pretty stylish :)
