that made me look up AUD, to discover their coins are strange, but even worse, their bills actually ARE made of plastic (i guess that is actually pretty damn sweet, probably less easy to destroy), but they vary in horizontal length. That's just weird.

Do they fold easy? What is the plastic like, stiff or pliable or some strange fiber style like the fiber construction of paper bills?

There's quite of bit of plastic money in the world.I have a small collection of currency, and several countries have it:
Australia, Mexico, Hong Kong, Romania, Zambia (i think), Vietnam, and some more I'm forgetting.

Most plastic notes also have a clear see thru window, which is pretty cool.
