ello all, i currently own a Nyko AirFlo mouse and as fun as the idea was of a mouse thats also a hair dryer (see here: CLICK ME) it basically turned out to be a rather cheaply built mouse thats rather uncomfortable and dosent sit well in my hand, its only plus point was an 850DPi sensor but i dont put too much faith in that given the build quality.

So ive been looking for a new mouse, specifically wireless, preferably laser. given a very limited budget and a mouse that was dying i scoured the net to see what i could afford, i looked at the logitech G7 and mx 1000 but they were too rich for my blood and in the end i compromised and bought myself a Logitech MX700. See picture:HERE

so i was wondering what your opinions of wireless mice (specifically the mx700) are for gaming? this should arrive in about 6 days from fleebay. :)

I always use a wired mouse for gaming. Less chance for lag or interference. Also no chance that the battery will run out in the middle of a game.

Logitech says the MX700 hails its desktop receiver (using 27MHz, not the consumer-product-crowded 900MHz frequency) 125 times per second, this is supposed to negate any lag ? also the battery life is 16 to 24 hours without charge which seems quite acceptable to me :)

MX700's are good, but they have a tendancy to die. I like my MS Habu... but the shape isn't the greatest. Go to a local store and test out a few mice.

Many of today's wired gaming mice have ~1ms response time - that's .001 seconds. This is done by increasing the usb polling rate for the mouse from the usual 125 polls per second to 1000 polls per second. The MX700 will have ~8ms response time (.008 seconds) if it polls 125 times per second. Many people would not notice the difference.

As for 16-24 hours of battery life being acceptable, I hope that mouse has a charging dock.
