Between this stuff and the automated russian and nigerian scammers working in boiler rooms, it's any wonder why people even bother with craigslist. I sold something recently in the local paper classified. Sure, it cost me $15, but I had a bunch of calls from *gasp* local people and no spam. Sure beats the situation when I listed a room on CL and had about 500 scammers and 12 flakeouts. Fuck CL.

I've read a few of them now and haven't seen what you're talking about. Maybe you have bad luck and keep seeing the ones like that, or maybe you're just overly sensitive and need to quit whining.
