The new dell chassis looks nice, but they still use the same crappy plastic keyboard. And at 6.1lbs its not ideal for lugging around everyday to work or school. I woulda gotten a Toshiba M50 or Thinkpad T42 if I were you. Less than 5lbs with a 14" LCD AND dedicated video (Radeon 9600 or X600).

But if you need a desktop replacement, that Dell should suit your needs.

Right...so you basically overpaid for a Dell and are saying you're getting what you paid for? Don't think so. I have an Apple MacBookPro, and at least I'm honest when I say I overpaid for the looks (plus the quality and features are better than a Dell IMO).
