You know Scott Martin AKA BigHammer(I don't know if he's cracking for Anandtech or Ars). He has 29 Rigs cracking SETI at his place including 9 Dualies. He says he's retarded for doing it, I think he's just crazy..in a good sort of way.
I do, just need a house to put 'em all in!!
Nice rooms by the way. I'm jealous. I'm basically living in one room right now, and 75% is computers/music and pro-audio gear. anyone got a house they wanna trade for some computers?? 😛
Hi dnetmhz, I was just wondering what your primary use for all this was? I've got 3 pcs connected to a NAT box on a DSL with a KVM, and I find myself using just one most of the time, with the others turned off to keep the power bill and noise level down.
Hey dnetmhz, I just noticed your 'Tiger' Case, I got a few of those that I accquired. I gotta say they're decent cases for cheap! Some actual 'Quality' from Tiger Direct. 2 60mm's in the back, nice driver rails, and nice snap-off front face. It's my favorite 'Cheap' case out of all mine!

Scott's the envy of all MA tech's, when his network boots lights dim in something like 3-4 different towns !
<< Hi dnetmhz, I was just wondering what your primary use for all this was? >>
well the main reason is that i do distributed computing projects.. (see the Anantech Distributed computing forum)
see the ECCp-109 link in my sig.
further explanation...
1 is a web server (OpenBSD)
1 is an exchange server for mail (insert flames here)
1 is a file server (OpenBSD/Samba)
and the rest are just general purpose machines. 🙂
<< Hey dnetmhz, I just noticed your 'Tiger' Case >>
which one are you talking about?... didn't get any from Tiger direct.. all are either Dells or home built.
perhaps tiger uses the same cases for their PCs
