What do you think?

Sounds like a very decent setup..you should get great gaming out of that system for quite some time...good to see that you chose the 9800 Pro instead of getting suckered into a $400 plus gfx card. The money you saved was well spent on extra memory a nice sound card and a well constructed Power SupplyI(btw..I have the same PS and it is awsome)...Happpy computing dude!!

Yea I bypassed getting the ATI x800 Pro/XT because it's just too much damn money -- I mean... a better CPU than mine costs less than the video card which is to me, pretty obscene.

~$1100... I didn't have to pay for the RAM since I already had that, so all in all, not too bad for me 🙂

Pretty good price, esp since I know those 2 SATA HD's cost you some good money...figure those, the 9800pro and the A64 were the bulk of the price?

Any fps numbers on some games? I always like to test the highest playable rez of halo to see just how good my upgrades are.

I just bought a new custom A64 system too. a64 3000+, MSI K8n, 1gb mushkin, seagate sata 120gb, x800 pro, and audigy 2, antec 400w smartpower plus case etc for 1600. Waiting for it to arrive :s, should be good gaming. Congrats!

Everything is nice. By the way, which case did you get?

I got the Fong Kai FK333 from Directron. It's COMPLETELY toolless, even the PCI cards you don't need screws. The only thing that needs to get bolted in is the motherboard and other than that... just pop stuff in and use the locking mechanisms. It's very sturdy (heavy as hell!), excellent build quality and looks very professional (imo), and I'm really pleased that I got it.
