Hows the GHL sound ? I wanted the NPP exhaust so I could set it up to open/close with a switch so I could control the drone. mine will be a 6 to 8 month/year daily driver, my commute is so short though that won't crack much mileage.

Zero problems. Battery is holding up fine even though I drive it like once a month. What would I change? Would have bought the Z06 if I was buying today. Z06 was at MSRP or slightly above when I bought mine. Now it's selling for $12-15k off new with 0%. GHL sounds nice in that it's not too aggressive and loud like the Bullets but it does drone from 1500-1800 rpm. It sucks because that's the 80mph highway cruising rpm. But I don't drive it much on the highways and usually just go faster or shift into 4th or 5th gear to avoid the drone. It's 1/2 the weight of the stock mufflers so that's a plus. Plus I think it looks better with the 3 inch tip. I haven't heard the NPP but everyone says it's nice with the on/off features.

Enjoy the car. Check out Corvetteforum. Lot of old farts but nice group of guys and girls.

Nice car, a c6 is my next car. What are they letting those go for? Once 0% came out all the local dealers jacked up the 08 prices up to MSRP. I don't think I should have to negotiate down from MSRP on their leftovers from last year.

Boardwalk Chevy in Cali near you has decent deals on the '09s. They don't have any '08s left. If you want '08 for the 0%, contact Reliable Chevy in Springfield, Ohio. They'll find you '08 you want and give you 0% at GMS. Personally, I would skip the '08 and '09 base and get an used '06 Z06 for low $40s or '07 Z06 at mid $40s if I was buying today.

Yea but doesn't the non Z06 get super gas mileage? I guess that's a bonus there?

everyone's getting nice cars these days, wonder if it's because we're growing into an age of our own financial stability or because we're in Garage. Anyway, gratz.

I don't care about gas mileage on a pleasure vehicle. Plus the difference is like 2 mpg between the base and the Z06. I fill up every 3 months or so. 😛 My annual gas bill for the car is about $150 at current prices. 🙂 🙁

Congrats and welcome to the family. 🙂

Cool, what are the details on yours ? is it a daily driver ?

2007 C6 1LT A6. Had it for 2 years now. I've replaced the stock exhaust with GHL and sway bars with Z51. It's not a daily driver. Wish it was but I need my cargo van and pickup truck for work. It only has 3,200 miles in the 2 years and that makes me sad. About the only time I can drive it is on the weekend early in the morning before my wife and daughter wakes up. But it puts a huge smile on my face when I do drive it. Such an incredible car.

Wow, the interior in that Porsche is pretty amazing.

Wow I feel for you. I work from home daily and still managed to put 5k on it in a year. No road trips either. Sometimes I make an excuse to go out for lunch...

Very nice, but has anyone seen a '58 Vette for sale? (for a reasonable price...)

There are a few, its just that reasonable for a 58 vette is around $50k.

Gratz on the nice new ride, I'm dying here, the local dealers just cut 08 convertible prices to $45k again. If only I didn't work in Michigan lol.

I'm surprised GM didn't come out with a paddle shift version like the German's do. Fully auto and then has the option for the men to shift

OP, have you ever had a car with HUD? If not you are going to hate driving without it once you get use to it.

My 01 Vette has it and at first i thought it was a gimic. But now it feels weird when i drive mt CTS or truck that does not have it.

Enjoy it and DON'T put a K&N filter in it. If you have any problems just ask.

Still the one thing to this day that I miss dearly about my '00. The HUD should be standard on vehicles.

Yeah this one has got paddle shifters, never had a HUD before, all my previous cars were japanese. I have always been fond of American muscle and in my opinion this is the best out there as of today for my budget.

A woman at my job just got one too. If you get 1/3 the attention that she gets now, then I envy you.

Congrats!

Vurry pretty, although I agree, get a 6 speed and enjoy it, if your wife really wants to drive it she'll learn 😛

Drove my buddy's C6 last night, tons of fun.
