Here are some pictures of my new car... I picked it up Wednesday night around 6:00pm
and have already put about 250 km on it. I love it. Best car ever!

Anyway, Here are the pictures!

If it's 1/2 as reliable as the older turbo Dodge's it will be running fine in 10 years from now
even if I do decide to beat the hell out of it... (Which is kind of hard not to do... haha 🙂 )

that thing got a hemi?

Most of chrysler's engines have a hemispherical combustion chamber. So yes 😛

why?

I never understood the deal with hemi's ....what's the point?

Is the trapezoiodal shaped chamer with a flat head better?

They have a Dome and the fuel gets dumped into it and Then fires. ON smaller bock chevys it has to go through the piston then hit the plug then light I think

WHat do you mean by "it has to go through the piston?

Doesn;t the fuel come in through the top like always?

Fast car, still looks like a neon.
Have fun! Try not to die, or break every traffic law known to man.

Uhh... the SRT-4's 2.4L turbo 4 is tried and true. Chrylser has been building them for years, very reliable. I saw where one modder was running over 500 whp for a few months before it blew. At stock power (~240 whp), it should last a very long time.

Cool car, Adam. Keep the rubber side down 🙂

edit: and no, the SRT-4 does NOT have a hemi. Hemi's only work with 2 valves per cylinder. With 4 valves per cylinder, the combustion chamber is shaped somewhat like the sides of a pyramid.

500 FWD horses == no traction.

Maybe with much wider wheels and wheel spacers and slicks.

I believe that it leads to a more efficient burn of the mixture. Though I'm not entirely sure.

kinda.

The two most commonly used types of combustion chamber are the hemispherical and the wedge shape combustion chambers.

The hemispherical type is so named because it resembles a hemisphere. It is compact and allows high compression with a minimum of detonation. The valves are placed on two planes, enabling the use of larger valves. This improves "breathing" in the combustion chamber. This type of chamber loses a little less heat than other types. Because the hemispherical combustion chamber is so efficient, it is often used, even though it costs more to produce.

The wedge type combustion chamber resembles a wedge in shape. It is part of the cylinder head. It is also very efficient, and more easily and cheaply produced than the hemispherical type.

True .... but thats when you have time to prep and change tires, etc (unless you drive with slicks on all the time, which is not smart at all 😀 )
