Cool car.

I wouldn't have gotten silver though. It's too... silver. It seems like every Porshe/Lexus/BMW/Mercedes I see is silver.

Nice car. I looked at a few of them, but I wanted an S and it was really out of my price range.

Who cares about that? Porsches are all about the experience. Have fun with your mushy brakes and rolling through corners.

yeah. they are quite soft.
but then performance is defined by stopping distance and not brake dust. ;)

have a  and lets end this discussion. I think we are both right about our own points - both cars have their positives.

 :)

Both have excellent traits and are nice cars. Just one comes as a sedan or coupe and the other is a Porsche. :D:beer:

Are you actually happy with the purchase????

The sex appeal is lackin man, you should have bought an AMG Mercedes or something! Mercedes=InstantKnobJob.

Meh, just my opinion. I've always hated the look of ANY Porsche to date.

no matter what anyone says, I would still love to have a Boxster. it's no 911, to be sure, but it's still a damn fine looking machine and would be more fun to drive than my Pontiac Sunbird!

Not bad, not bad at all. As other's have said, get a larger wheel and some aggressive tires and it'll be a lot nicer looking.

I'm actually intereted in Boxters myself. I'll be moving to Arizona in a few months and in a couple years I'll be picking up a weekend car to take out and about. The boxters really caught my eye. Maybe in another two or three years I'll be able to find some nicely maintained Boxter S's for a reasonable amount by then.

Nope, sorry. Brakes are about more than just the panik stop distances. Porsche has a great history of brakes that have amazing feel and outstanding fade resistance. I highly doubt that Nissan is capable of making brakes that have as great a pedal feel and as high a fade resistance as Porsche.

you are so right.
all the reviews I have read for cars have this section in the performance area and they look like this:
Porsche Boxster:
Stopping Distance: Avearge
Brake Feel: Orgasmic
Brake Fade: Average

Infiniti G35
Stopping Distance: Class Leading
Brake Feel: Normal
Brake Fade: Normal

I'm with you, Mercedes and Cadillac have pretty much switched places. Mercedes is definitely for old people. If you're young and going Euro, get a BMW or an Audi.
