Should have read the stickied thread. A q6600 is pretty nice, but if you don't use applications that can use all 4 cores it might be a pointless purchase. It would also be nice to know the budget.

I don't even know what motherboard that is, I don't know if you are going to overclock or not. This ram works though: http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16820145034 since it's good bang for buck memory and still leaves plenty of overclocking headroom. 8800ultra is waste of money, and a corsair 520hx would be plenty of power for your rig. And i'm guessing you ment IFX-14. Which prolly means you are overclocking.

Thanks for the input MarcVenice

I cant tell u my budget because im living in Malaysia, if its my currency, my budget is RM 10,000
4 cores is worth for me, coz Im in gaming, so Crysis support 4cores, between i do lots of photoshop too =D

The motherboard is from Asus , i heard its the best P35 motherboard for OC'ing quad.

For Rams, i have no idea what ram are good. the ram you mention are they good in overclocking, i dont intend to OC ram just want to leave them alone. So will a 1066Mhz one's do fine ?

And yes, i would be Overclocking my CPU, sorry for not mentioning it earlier. The reason i choose IF-14 is because a friend of mine got to 4GHz on air on a Striker Extreme and it amaze me.

Mind to elaborate why 8800 Ultra was a waste of money ? because its factory Overclock ?

Because a 8800ultra costs a LOT more then the 8800gtx, but doesn't perform all that much better. As for the ram, with ddr2 800mhz you can do 3.6ghz with a q6600, if you can cool it of course. Isn't it really hot in malaysia, or got good airconditioning? ddr2 1066 will be enough though if you want to hit 4ghz, although I doubt you can go that high. What is the 'real' name of the asus motherboard btw?

Umm...thats a REALLY bad idea to think like that. A power supply is THE MOST IMPORTANT part of a computer, so you need to get a very high quality one, especially with the rig you are proposing. Do your research in that department before you buy and old piece of junk.

Well, it's a personal preference, but I always have had great experience with Corsair RAM, just pick up a 2x1gig pack of XMS2 ddr800
