My new Bitfenix Prodigy build, Pics included.

I was going to build this as a Hackintosh machine but the graphic card is not working well with it. Now I just have a high end windows pc 😀

This build is a little hard because trying to fit 4 120mm fans along with the EVO 212 heatsink, the humungous Thermaltake 750watts PSU & all of its cables, DVD Optical drive, and managing all of the cables is a pain in the ass in such a small case. The PC is running cool...really cool. Idling at 28 degrees.

Case: Bitfenix Prodigy M
CPU: Intel Core i5 3570K
CPU Cooler: Coolermaster EVO 212 w/2 120mm Fans in a Push/Pull config. 2 120mm Case fans (Intake & Exhaust)

Video: Radeon 7850
Mobo: Gigabyte H77N-WIFI
Ram: 16gb DDR3 1600mhz
PSU: Thermaltake TR2 750watts

HDD: Corsair Force GT 120GB SSD, Corsair Force F115 SSD, & 160GB Mechanical to back up the OS Drive.

I'm about to build a system using a Prodigy also (Orange!), and I'm actually going to be using your same heatsink, the 212, but I'm curious as how much clearance there is between the 212, the GPU, and the RAM sticks...

Are RAM sticks with the larger heatsink fins a no-go?

With the heatsink horizontal, it'll likely block the nearest slot. Vertical may be a different story and being that mine while vertical makes installation after the heatsink impossible even with a low pro stick (just barely can't get it straight into the slot), you may have to go vertical perhaps with a fan towards the rear of the case and make a shroud to focus the airflow through the heatsink a la radiators.

@op nice setup! I'm waiting on my replacement Prodigy because the top plastic shroud was damaged in transit on mine (damn you UPS). A small crack towards the front and separation of the plastic made me realize that those "handles" are mostly decoration. Never pick a fully built system up by those, it's just asking for trouble with an 18lb case and heatsinks/hard drives weighing down.

😀 Damn proud of my wiring hehe. It's really a work of art to hide all of the wirings in such a small case.

Wiring is a cluster of mess. Be prepare and be ready to tidy them up when you build yours.

You can see the Ram here. (2) 8GB Kingston Hyper X barely clearing the CPU FANS.

Plenty of ceiling room.

Lets put everything back and make it looks nice again :thumbsup:

Nice build! Does that top part of the HDD cage come out? Seems like they could have freed up a little room by orienting the HDD cages differently, particularly with SSDs becoming commonplace.

Yes the HD cage does come out but I don't want to :\. I hate taking stuff out because it'll always end up lost somewhere.
