then i wanted to spray paint them. so instead of just spray painting the mdf cuz mdf will absorb it like mad, i had some fiberglass resin laying round, mixed it up, and then put it on. since the boxes were already built i wanted to get it done so i slapped it on. and then never sanded them, would take to much time.

thats the story, but the speakers sound different with the resin applied now.

they sound better, more of a punch than before.

Because that amp doesn't have a dedicated headphone amp section, thus anything headphone you plug into it, especially high impedence headphones like sennheiser, will sound like crap.

Martin Logan (you can tell because they are curved, maggies are flat with no woofer). Aragon amp.
