My New Athlon XP Mobile 2600+ Processor... any good?

Here are the numbers on the chip:

AXMG2600FQQ4C Z583429A50175

[I think below is what matters? And the 5's above kinda look like S's.]

IDYHA 0503TPMW

etc etc

Does this mean anything to anyone? Can anyone tell if there is a possibility if this might be a dud or a good overclocker?

Basically, the only important numbers when overclocking is the stepping (IDYHA) and production week (0503..meaning the chip was produced during the 03 week of '05). I'm not sure how the overclocking potential of newer 2005 mobile chips compared to the ones produced in 2004, but I doubt they have changed.

I'll have to check against the numbers of my XP-M 2600+ when I get home tonight.

You'll probably be able to get 2.4-2.5Ghz out of that chip easy if your board and RAM can handle it. My XP-M 2600+ has been running at 215x11.5 = 2.47Ghz for several months now.

I have an XP-M2600+ made a week before yours - IDYHA0502RPMW - and it does about the same as my AXMG2600FQQ4C AQYHA0421FPMW from last year. (And about what BlueWeasel said). I run it at 218x11 @ 1.675v all the time.

Yours should be a nice CPU!
