...And why are carbs the enemy? Perhaps your sources are carbs are the problem. Also, if you're trying to gain weight, you shouldn't be restricting any macronutrient. Eat anything and everything, even if it is carby. I don't understand what your goals are here. You cut your workout in half, don't eat everything, and haven't made any gains. If you're actually looking to gain weight, you're probably more likely to need 3300-3500 calories, preferably not from butter, and do high load, low rep lifts. Butter is probably one of the worst sources to grab 400 calories from btw. Quit being lazy and make a meal plan.

I have a diet plan, IT HAS carbs,, Just leting you know what is not working..

Also please update your knowledge on Saturated vs Unsaturated Fats. Quite many controversies floating about..

I am not saying that "I" have the definitive understanding on what to eat.. But there is evidence against the perceived common knowledge of the day..

Wait, what? You're saying what's not working? The problem is you're not eating enough. My maintenance most days is over 3000 calories and I'm only 156ish. When I bulked from 138, I ate 3500 calories each and every day to gain 20 pounds in 10 weeks.

There's actually very little controversy on what saturated fat (from animals) does. Saturated fat consumption increases LDL concentration in the blood. That is about as proven as anything can be. Cholesterol has been viewed as the more "controversial" thing since everyone thought dietary cholesterol increases your serum cholesterol. The problem with that is the body actually adapts by producing less cholesterol, resulting in no net increase. There is an exception to that rule for people with strong genetic predispositions for very high cholesterol values.

Unsaturated fats are undoubtedly the healthiest source of fats. They tend to increase HDL and have no negative effects on LDL. They tend to be plant-derived and high in mineral, vitamins, and general good nutrition. However, this excludes a lot of plant oils (canola oil, rapeseed oil, soybean oil) because of the way they're processed. Saturated fat sources such as coconut oil have a little bit of controversy about them since there's been some research to suggest they are actually good for you (which may have to do with them being medium chain fatty acids). There's not enough research done on coconut oil though to say anything for sure. Saturated fat sources such as animal fat have been deemed poor for a very long time. That's not to say you shouldn't eat them. They're plenty fine in moderation. However, I AM saying you shouldn't eat 400 calories worth of it in butter. It will raise your cholesterol and triglycerides and will put you at a higher risk of atherosclerosis and stenosis of the heart valves.

I think I'd do GOMAD before I'd eat directly from a stick of butter. What a terrible habit. However, I'd rather eat directly from a block of cheese.
