The Meade LX200-ACF scopes look interesting.

If you're looking for a new Catadioptric scope for astrophotography, I would recommend the Celestron Edge HD. They sit on EQ mounts, which is better, and I hear they have better optics.

I will be taking photos through the telescope within a month and I will be posting them.

OP, very nice scope but a bit pricey. I have an old orange tube Celestron C8 in near mint condition that gives excellent views. I prefer larger aperture catadioptrics as they offer more light-gathering capabilities than do refractors (but yes, they are not as good as refractors on some objects).

This was my gear. :)

This is at my ex-wife's place. I must have tilted the pic with my shoulder when I set the scope up and took pics shortly thereafter. I sold my gear to her companion in 2006 as I was no longer able to use it.

The short tube refractor was not for astrophotography but to look at wide-angle sky objects at low magnifications with the Speers-Waler 24mm ultrawide eyepiece. This one had a nice Japanese lens instead of the usual Chinese stuff.
