My Network Places & Computers Near Me in W2K

I deleated Computers Near Me (CNM) in My Network Places (MNP). I tryed to copy the short cut from another admin login but you can not Paste in MNP. Can any one tell me how i can get this back in there I have a copy of CNM on my desktop i just need to get it in MNP or maybe someone can tell me how to get Wondows to put it back for me.

you could PROBABLY remove file and printer sharing for windows along with client for microsoft networks (from network control panel), reboot, and then install it again. that SHOULD put the icon back..of course, it'll screw up yer internet setup a bit, but it's easy to fix

computers near me is just a shortcut to the workgroup you're in.
I just tried this and it worked - open my network places. in a separate window open my network places->entire network->MS windows network-> you should see your workgroup. drag your workgroup (or anyone you want to make a shortcut to) to the other window (my network places) you have open.
