My network disappeared..

A couple months ago, I reinstalled Windows to regain my Network Connections as well as hoping to fix a USB2.0 problem. Reinstalling Windows did give me back my Network Connections, however.. it's now missing again. If I want to change my WPA key or anything, it seems impossible since I have nothing to change. However, my internet is working fine.. just I can't change anything if needed. I'm using a wireless USB nic, but I don't believe that is the problem as it disappeared last time when I was connected via a cat5 cable.

Here's a screenshot of my Network Connections: Screenshot

Anyone know how I might be able to get it back? I'd hate to have to reinstall Windows again.. 🙁

i had a somewhat similar problem to this when i was working on someones computer last week. their internet wasn't working, and thats what i was fixing, but i think its relevant. Just like yours, there was nothing in the network connections window. I first headed for the device manager, as thats what it sounded like...sure enough, the adapter (onboard Intel 100 VE) showed enabled, but a driver error. I tired reinstalling the drivers, but no luck. eventually i figured i couldn't do any more harm so i just uninstalled the adapter completely. Rebooted, redetected adapter, and it worked like a charm. detected automatically actually, i didn't even bother installing the driver suite again. So the moral of the story is, try uninstalling any software for that device. Check the device manager for any errors.
