My neighbor's shower has been on for about 18 hours straight

I have one neighboring unit in my apartment. The wall we share is in our bathrooms, so I can hear the pipes when his shower is on.

The shower has been running since yesterday in the early evening. Two college aged guys lived there. I'm just assuming they got drunk, left the shower on, and passed out.

I went over and knocked on their door to no answer. Should I be concerned?

Update (pg 3):

It turns out their toilet has been running constantly. It sounds just like the shower running from my side of the wall.

I imagine my bathroom would be flooded by now if there was a problem.

Call the apt. office first. Let them call the police.

Apartment office is closed on saturday. I'm gonna give them 24 hours. 1pm in the afternoon is still sleeping time for a drunk college kid.

1. Kill person
2. Throw said person in shower to rinse off evidence

4. Kill apartment neighbor

Keep knocking until somebody opens the door. In a situation like this I would not wait.

Umm, call apt. maintenance.

I was in an apt one summer for summer school. The apt above me sounded like the toilet was stuck flushing continuously. We banged on the door to no avail, shrugged, and went back to doing work. About an hour later, water started dropping through the ceiling. Worst. experience. ever.

We had to move all our crap out. Apt was flooded by an inch of water by the time stupid campus residence office staff came by. Turns out even though the apt above us was vacant the toilet somehow cracked

Call the landlord via the emergency number. They've probably already wasted $10-20 worth of water. He/she will not be pleased, and will probably be right over.

They could have been evicted and decided to turn all of the water on before they left.

In my old place, the neighbour's shower turned on at around 9PM. It ran for about 6 hours before shutting off.

The apartment was vacant at the time. I didn't know what to think of it.
