Yeah, it's a fantastic show (at least the pilot was.)

I work at a big ad agency and we get to see all the new pilots several months in advance. I knew this was a winner within the first 5 minutes. I was telling all my friends to make sure they watch it. I just hope they can keep up the high quality writing as they set the bar pretty high in the pilot (did you notice how effortlessly they crammed in a TON of back story and cleverly set up the potential for a ton of future episodes, but still kept a great story flow?)

Hopefully, it'll get a good following. They've got it in Scrubs spot currently (which will be coming back in Feb. as a mid-season replacement following the Olympics.) Earl and The Office are a perfect match as they're both off-beat style comedies.

One time my cousin Walter got this cat stuck in his ass. True story. He bought it at our local mall, so the whole fiasco wound up on the news. It was embarrassing for my relatives and all. But, the next week, he did it again--difference cat, same results, complete with another trip to the emergency room. So, I run into him a week later in the mall and he's buying another cat. And, I says to him, "Jesus, Walt, what are you doing?! You know you're just going to get this cat stuck in your ass, too." And, he said to me, "Brodie, how the hell else am I supposed to get the gerbil out?"

Jason Lee is friggin hilarious.

I can't wait to see this show but I'm inclass right now. I'll have to start setting the Tivo..

it was good, but i didn't find it chock full of laughs.

excellent first episode. the last tv show premiere i was excited about was the office which was absolutely painful to watch. i forsee my name is earl only getting better.

'Office' premiere was weak though...NBC was trying SO HARD to realize some viewership based on the success of "The 40 Year Old Virgin" but it ain't gonna happen until the writing gets better.
