FOLDERS and any other audio player out there

Directory structure is beyond the comprehension of many people these days. M$ doens't help by having default windows settings on "please treat me like a slightly dull rock".

Most of my crap gets thrown into the root of one of my storage drives. It's actually easier for me to find it that way. Sort by time, guesstimate when the time I first got it was, boom, there it is. My music, however, resides in a very organized structure.

Are there any programs that download all the extra tag info and automatically insert it into mp3s? I remember that used to be considered the 'holy grail' of mp3 organization, but it wasn't available in 98',99'..
