My mouse pointer is frozen now, it won't move anymore!

Hey all,
I have Gigabyte M6900 Optical Gaming Mouse which worked great for the last 6 months.
It all started when I got my Win7 SP1 x64 to wake up from sleep then it got frozen!
I connected it into another pc and it won't move. I tried to refresh mouse's firmware by running its upgrade tool which has the same version (v16) with the one inside but still no luck!
I also tried another mouse and it worked fine!
So I guess it's dead now, right?!
btw, I don't want to use the working one permanently since it's missing many features found in the faulty one.
Thanks for your help!
Regards,
Salaam

Heh...yes, check for tape or some such obstruction on the bottom of your existing mouse at the laser emitter hole (pretty much dead center), just to be safe. But it looks like it's shot--especially if it did the same thing on a second PC.
