The right button has started to fail to click. It was the replacement they sent me for an older G9X whos left mouse button started to fail 2 years ago. Hence the call of duty BS, "its all we have" they said.

Dunno what ill replace it with

I have one of those, and it'll be my last laser mouse. They managed to make an optical mouse with the hassles of a ball mouse. Progress...

logitech will probably replace it for free, they've replaced hardware of mine way past warranty period without even wanting it back.

Yeah if it's just been a couple of years they might very well. They've replaced my G500's twice now when the heavily-used scroll wheel died. They're pretty awesome about it.

Sad. I think if my MX Air ever dies I may have to commit suicide...or pay over $325 for a new one. It's the same way with my Dinovo Edge. Weird how so many of the peripherals I bought for my HTPC got discontinued and then skyrocketed in price shortly afterwards.

Mine died too after eating a lot of peanut butter out of the traps I set. He eventually got cocky and it led to his demise.

I actually like really plain mice, wired optical 2 button + scroll wheel that can act as middle button. These seem to be hard to come by these days though. It seems most mice now are wireless and they are huge behemoths that could be used as a weapon to kill a moose.

My G5 is still kicking after probably a decade.

Microsoft Bluetrack is the best sensor I've ever used -- one I have for my laptop works on carpet. Will probably go back to optical next time round.

I know the feeling. It's better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all.

RIP MW3 Mouse

Same with my G500, but it was the left click that wouldn't actually click on screen.

You can fix them kindo easy. Guides are out there.

It involves re-bending the copper springs in the switches.

Id like to try that but theres so many variables.

I might get the wrong part to fix it with, the part I replace might not even fix the problem, the thing might not work after i disassemble it. Dont even know where to get mouse parts.

Get a small screwdriver and take it apart to see if you can rebend the springs, or whatever. It's not going to get more broken.
