My mouse causes my RTS games to freeze!

If I go to play Warcraft III and I don't touch my mouse it runs fine, but as soon as I move the mouse the computer freezes. I have a Athlon XP 1900+ 1.6Ghz, Maxtor 80gb hard drive, 256 DDR ram, Radeon 9600 XT 128mb, SBLive 5.1, and Win ME. The mouse is a Logitech Optical Mouse.

Patch the game and run it under Miles' Emulated sound.

Nope, it still freezes as soon as I touch the mouse.

Is your mouse connected to the USB or PS/2 port?

I tired both but I get the same problem. Right now it is in the PS/2 port.

I had something similar happen (think it was a logitech mouse too). I plugged in another mouse and it worked fine. So I just got a new mouse

Mine happened whether I plugged it in via PS/2 or USB

This all happened when I got my new video card so i didn't know if it was a mouse or video problem. Turns out it was a video problem, I was messing with ATI's SmartGart program, and when I turned off "AGP write" it worked fine.
