My Motorola Q won't change the time!

Jesus. My Verizon Motorola Q won't update for DST. It didn't do it automatically, and if I do it manually, I can't quit out of the Time Settings. I can get back to the home page by pressing end, but I can't enter any other program, it just sits there. The only way to do so is to take out the battery...I'm unable to turn off the phone any other way once it's like this.

Any suggestions?

Updated to the latest firmware?

I had to do it manualyl as well but it didn't lock up. In fact, with the new firmware, it's liek a whole 'nother phone.

The increase in battery life is amazing.

Just use a mini usb cable and activesync. It should have c0ome with the phone. Activesync 4.5 is a free download off of MS's site

or go here: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/default.mspx

on your phone and pay for the MB's this one time.

this may seem like a stupid question, but have you tried making a phone call with it? That might automatically update it.

edit: it's worked for me before

Yeah, I have, no go. It looks like WM5 needs an update, and seeing as how I'm on a Mac right now, there's no easy way to do that without buying The Missing Sync. I don't ever sync with my computer, since I rarely have appts, and mainly use the Q only for texting.

Why can't you just download the cab file, bluetooth it over and then run the cab from your phone?

I directly downloaded into my BlackJack, but I've done the bluetooth transfer from my powerbook a few times for other software.
