My monitor's dead

After working for 3 years, my monitor decided to quit its job. It notified me yesterday by suddenly went "boop" and turned into BSOD (thats black screen of dead for you) while I was working in front of my computer. It did scare the sh!t out of me. It is a Sony 200sx and since it is a Sony I do expect it last much longer than that. My friend lent my her spare mon and save my day. Grrr WTF:|

Don't think of this as a loss, but as an opportunity to look to better things in life... or at least better things in the Sony monitor line. I'm evil in wanting my monitor to die because unless it does, I can't reasonably justify a new one.

Heh, you want a 45 pound 15 incher that puts everything in a yellow tint without a good smack to the corners? It still works, I can still do my work, play games, etc. so unless it dies like yours, she'll be mine.

That sucks. They same thing happened to my 17" Sony Trinirton monitor 6 months. It was such a nice monitor too. Right now I'm using an old POS 15" Packard Bell monitor that I have had to repair so many times I can't even count. The power button doesn't even work anymore so I had to splice the wires inside together to get it to turn on.

What's with all the stupid people quoting the same thing over and over...waste of bandwidth and storage... shut the fvck up! I wish people would stop this BS....this place is starting to remind me of a low class WWWBoard-based forum.

And sorry about your monitor. I've had my Samsung 950p for about 3 years and would be devasted if it quit on me...i love this monitor~
