she asked my why i had cigarettes and i didnt really answer and she kept asking if i smoked. then shes like "do you want me to take them from you?" (wtf?!) and i was all "uhhh no why would i want you to take them?" and shes said "because you really really dont want them"...

but she smokes. how can you tell your kids to do something that you do ALL the time? isnt that just a little hypocritical?

Because she knows smoking is a bad habit, and doesen't want to see her daughter hurt in the same way she has been?

How old is your mom? Perhaps she started before all of the dangers were really known? And, now that we all know the dangers of smoking and 2nd-hand smoke, why the fvck would you want to start?

quit smoking, maybe its "cool" when your a kid cause mommy doen't want you to do it, but when you get older your going to be taht jerk who smokes. and then of course you'll die.
 
I think you're not seeing the point here... smoking is bad for you regardless of whether or not your mom smokes.
 
Smoking is expensive. If you are a cheap tard like me, thats all the motivation you need. Its not about cancer, yellow teeth, health problems, etc....but when a pack of smokes cost more than a week of my beloved swanson tv dinners (I eat one everyday), I only smoke when I can borrow them off someone else.

anyway, im not a big smoker. i smoke occasionally. and no, not to look cool. its relaxing. i just like it. this wasnt meant to be a thread where all the nonsmokers can come and yell at me alright?

You need to find other ways to relax: Exercise, reading, breathing techniques, meditation, going for walks, cuddling with a pet, etc.

And, your mom goes back to smoking as it's the just about the MOST addictive product out there thanks to the evil cigarette companies.
 
Not yelling at you, I'm just saying smoking is a disgusting habit. This is a free country, feel free to smoke, you're an adult.

caitlion, you've got to understand parents want their children to become better than they were, so even if they have a bad habit they may not want to you as well

Your an ass for smoking. If you don't want to hear it from your mom or anyone else stop smoking or STFU and deal with the fact that people care about eachother.
