THis is the first year that didn't do anything for my mom... the day is far too commericalized now. I refuse to celebrate.

That doesn't mean, I don't appreciate my mom. It just means, I won't let someone else tell me when to give her a card and some cheesy flowers.

I agree. Mother's Day, Father's Day, Grandparent's Day, Valentine's Day. Dumb. I could tell anyone of these people how much I care for them ANYTIME without having a ridiculous commercialized holiday telling me to do so.
