my modded xbox is freezing up

when i power on my xbox, it gets an IP fine.. when I launch XBMC, it seems to freeze up when it's acquiring the weather info at the bottom of the screen.

I can unplug my ethernet cable & reboot - XBMC will run fine. however, I don't have connectivity to the rest of my LAN.

I figure I would just upgrade to the latest version (XBOX supported).. where can I get that?

where did you get your current version? that is where to get the latest supported

have you queried at the xbmc forums?

had a guy do i for me a few years ago... xbmc for xbox development has been discontinued... there was a volunteer who said they would pick it up..

I found this site where I downloaded a build from 07/08/10 and am in the process of FTP'ing over right now.. i'll report back when done.

i FTPd it over, then copied my UserData folder back.

I'm able to boot it up and everything looks like it's working.

Now, I just need to find the config file where it points the screen buttons to the HDD location of the programs/directories... when i click Video, i get a blank screen - I have to hit <back> to get to my list of drives/shared folders
