I tried to update my profile and I was told that my sig contained banned word(s).

I like this mod sig (its my favourite) and it's use as a warning to others. Is there a way I can still keep it?

I was just wondering.

PS: I don't normally pester the mods about stuff, so please take that into consideration.

I think I B T L is a banned word (edit: yes, it is, hence the spaces between it, can't even put .'s between it!) as the kids in OT used to use it all the time

Signatures are now checked for censored words, this is normal
I have seen people with banned words in their sig before, and wondered how they were able to do that without bypassing the filter... well, I guess they weren't bypassing the filter after all. Good idea to have it enabled on the sigs now, anyway. :)

I am not sure why this is an issue as the rule (posting IB**) is rarely enforced.

You can bypass filters pretty easily. The mods just aren't even-handed about who they beat on for it.

what is this word?
i don't get it
In Before The Lock: An expression, in acronym form, that in former times was popular to use as the one and only acronym in a reply to a post which was certain to be locked by a moderator in a short amount of time (such a post might contain porno or pirated software or something else). It became such a prevalent (while useless) form of neffing that the moderators started banning people for it.
