my mining rig in progress

I'll be adding some more pictures soon and detailing some information better as it morphs into what I want it to be.

This is the room next to the laundry room and I have kids so what I did was I put it 40" off the ground and there's room for the laundry baskets underneath. I went two systems wide and have every other shelf twice the DEPTH to hold the box fans.

I am still putting more systems on the rack and working on getting it all wired up. Directly behind the rack in that corner is the fuse box. There are 3 brand new circuits installed with 4 outlets each.

I clearly didn't plan out the monitor very well but its rare that I need to plug into them anyway. I plan on picking up an 8 port KVM and adding all of those wires to it.

No this isn't all of my currently online mining rigs but its all I felt like putting on this rack right now.

The furnace is in the laundry room and there is an intake for the furnace in the mining room. I am running the fan on the furnace 24/7 to pump the hot air out of that room and upstairs where everybody is at.

Nice setup there, gave me a few ideas about starting my own mining rig instead of just using regular desktops. Good idea with the placement next to the furnace. My reference 7970 and an awful sapphire 7870 (which blows hot air inside the case) alone are enough to heat up my bedroom and bathroom with outside temps ranging from 10-30*F.

i was under the impression that the OP would post more pictures as he adds more mining machines to his shelves...

My kids would still destroy that. They are beastly little monsters. Crafty too. I'm sure they'd find a way to climb the shelves and break every single piece of equipment on them.

I'm planning on it, I've been busy 😉 I have added several machines but haven't had a chance to clean things up. Last night I moved my 4 6950's all to one rig. They were in TWO and started hanging those cards. I have some 7850/270's coming today that I'll be putting into that rig that just opened up.

I've also ordered a couple dell server PSU's that I'm planning on modding to just be video card power.

While remodeling the kitchen I couldn't pull the dishwasher power line so I cut a hole in the ceiling of my mining room so I could reach that cord and BOOM room temps average about 10F less now. The furnace air suction is just wide open to space between the floor and ceiling. So now I have a nice big vent at the top of the room pulling the hottest air out

Is that the failed trader who owed it hundreds of millions? Just 1/2 caught something about that on the BBC news.
[edit] yes it is.
