My mic is really weird

MY mic is being sooo weird.. see i can record my voice and stuff like but when i try to talk on games and programs like counterstrike and msn messenger no one can hear it. On msn messenger i can see the bar thing go up and down but they cant hear it i tried micing with many people. I have tried many versions of msn but nOne work!! o and i tried buying a new one but the same thing happens! if u could help that would be great!

I would guess something is not allowing full duplex operation... sound card, modem, or internet service.
